Minnesota Licensure & restrictions – Psychiatrists and therapists must be licensed in the state where the patient is physically located during the session. Some states have restrictions on prescribing controlled substances via telehealth. Some states allow for ongoing medication management via telehealth, but initial prescriptions may have restrictions.
