What to expect

During a visit for allergies, patients can expect the clinician to:

They will ask about your symptoms, and want a detailed review of your medical history including any factors or triggers, and any previous medications used.

You may be eligible to receive a same-day prescription; however, your doctor will meet with you to determine if you need additional testing.

They may also recommend potential treatment options, including over-the-counter and prescription medications.

They may offer allergen avoidance strategies on how to minimize exposure to allergens through lifestyle adjustments, etc.

They may need to do some additional allergy testing, such as skin prick tests or blood tests, to identify specific allergens.
