Dr. Bryan Ellerson is a Spanish-English bilingual provider who seeks to assist people in a culturally competent manner by understanding their current dilemmas in the context of their personal story of development. He has worked extensively in substance abuse across a wide range of patient ages as a medical doctor with double board certifications in: 1) Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and 2) Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His professional experience includes work as a Medical Director of a child crisis stabilization unit with a Juvenile Addiction Receiving Facility program, Medical Director for a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) substance abuse program and he has long term practice dedicated to the underserved. Dr. Ellerson completed his general residency and fellowship training with the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital Department of Psychiatry in Miami Florida. His graduate and undergraduate degrees were earned at the following institutions: University of California, Irvine- School of Medicine- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.); University of California, Irvine- Merage School of Business- Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.); Duke University School of Medicine- Master of Health Science (M.H.S.); University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Dr. Ellerson is a passionate educator serving as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry consistently since 2013 to medical students and resident physicians. Most recently he served as a core faculty member to the General Psychiatry Residency Program and Child/Adolescent Fellowship in partnership with Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
